Xiaomi launches four new TVs ahead of OnePlus TV launch

We are just days away from OnePlus TV launch and there have been multiple launches from brands like Motorola and TCL launching their new TVs, now Xiaomi has joined the bandwagon to release four new TVs in a single day. While Xiaomi has been active in the TV market for almost two years now this is the first time they have released four TVs in a single day. These Mi TV Models are Xiaomi Mi TV 4X 65-inch, Mi TV 4X 50-inch, Mi TV 4X 43-inch and Mi TV 4A 40-inch.

The best part is that all four Mi TVs come with Amazon Prime Video and Netflix and Android 9.0 out of the box. So unlike with previous Mi TV where you had to sideload Amazon Prime Video and Netflix apps you can now enjoy them right out of the box. Though we haven’t yet gotten any details from Xiaomi on the DRM certification of the device we can expect it to L1 which will let you stream 4K content from apps like Netflix and Prime Video instead of being stuck to 1080p on your 4k TV.

Xiaomi also announced that five of their old TVs will also be getting Android 9.0 update and with it’ll bring support for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The TVs that’ll be getting the update are Mi TV 4A Pro 32-inch, Mi TV 4A Pro 43-inch, Mi TV 4A Pro 49-inch, Mi TV 4C Pro 32-inch and Mi TV 4 Pro 55-inc.


New Xiaomi Mi TV 4X series

The new Mi TV 4X 65-inch is priced at ₹54,999 and has a 4K HDR 10-bit display with a resolution of 3840×2160 but the brightness of the display isn’t mentioned anywhere, 2x10W built-in speaker with support for Dolby DTS-HD. It also Sports a 64bit Quad-core Amlogic Cortex A55  processor with Mali-470 GPU and 2GB RAM with 8GB of eMMC storage. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0, 5GHZ Wi-Fi and has an option to plugin wired ethernet.

All of the Xiaomi TV comes with both Android TV launcher and a custom launcher from Xiaomi called patch wall and you’ll have the option to choose either one of them from the settings. with being an Android TV these TVs have support for Google Assistant voice search and access to huge library of apps from Play Store. It has a built-in Chromecast so that you can cast anything from your phone or your PC.

Data Saver on Mi TV

Xiaomi has also introduced a new feature aimed to save Data on limited data plans once you set the data limit Xiaomi will automatically adjust video quality so that you won’t cross your data limits.


This launch wasn’t just some yearly launch from Xiaomi but a strategic one to compete with the upcoming OnePlus TV as it’s been building a lot of hype for its launch. Also, these new TVs from Xioami can be preordered from 29th Spet 12 AM same day OnePlus TV goes on say
